Whispering Pines is 30 miles west of Colorado Springs in Divide, elevation 9,500 feet.
Colorado Springs Airport is about 41 miles from this cabin and Denver International is about 118 miles.
South facing living area looks out over aspen and pines.
Satellite television with a dvd player.
Firewood can be purchased locally.
This is not the only form of heat. The cabin does have electric heat, too.
Sleeps two only. A spiral staircase leads to the loft where there is a queen bed.
All the bed, bath and kitchen linens are supplied.
The private hot tub is open all year.
We can get snow in September but our snowiest times are often in February, March and April.
I love my first cup of coffee in the hot tub on a winter morning.
Frequent visitors. You might even see a bear or a wild turkey.
A four-wheel drive vehicle may be necessary in snowy conditions.

The kitchen has a refrigerator/freezer, electric range, and microwave.
Plates, glasses, coffee mugs, wine glasses, silverware and cooking utensils supplied.
There is a Cuisinart coffee maker, blender and toaster.
Pots, pans and ovenware are supplied. There is even a crock-pot if you like coming "home"
to the smell of a wonderful roast with potatoes and carrots thrown in...or maybe ribs!
Of course, you don't have to cook ribs inside. There is a gas grill on the deck that can handle those.

Not to worry. There is a small neighborhood market less than five miles from this cabin.
