They often built their homes into the sides of cliffs. Some dwellings were only accessible by a rope.
While most ruins are located in the four corners region of Colorado you can visit an authentic
Anasazi cliff dwelling in Manitou Springs. The Manitou Cliff Dwellings are open almost all year.
There
is a museum, a gift shop, a nature walk and a snack bar that is open in summer.
